Nanosonics is an Australian medtech company on a mission to help hospitals prevent infection through smart, automated technology. Their flagship device, trophon, gently disinfects ultrasound probes between patients using a low-temperature hydrogen peroxide mist — with over 38,000 units now in use worldwide, protecting an estimated 29 million patients each year.
Building on that success, Nanosonics has just launched CORIS, a new system designed to automate the cleaning of flexible endoscopes, which have traditionally relied on tricky manual brushing. It's currently rolling out through early sites in the UK, with more launching soon in Australia and the UK/Ireland ahead of a wider release.
