  1. Macao International Airport

Macao International Airport operates 24 hours a day, with many visitors entering the territory via numerous major cities around the region.

Macao International Airport is located in Taipa, about 10 minutes by car to the Congress venue, The Venetian Macao.

      2.Via Hong Kong International Airport to Macao

                          2.1.  Airport Ferry Service

An airport ferry service is available for passengers travelling to Macao via Hong Kong International Airport. Passengers can arrive in or depart from Macao via Hong Kong International Airport as a transit stop without having to pass through Hong Kong Customs and Immigration formalities and also without the inconvenience of carrying their luggage to the Ferry Terminal. The ferry trip from Hong Kong International Airport to Macao takes approximately 60 minutes.

Air-Sea Transfer Procedure

  1. Inform the airline at departure airport that bags to be checked through to either Hong Kong or Macao.

  2. Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport (Immigration & Customs checks are NOT required).

  3. Purchase ferry ticket and present baggage tag receipt at Ferries to Macao Ticketing Counter (TurboJet or CotaiJet) at Transfer Area E2, Level 5, Terminal 1, HKIA (See the location map).                                       *Passengers should arrive at Transfer Area E2 at least 60 minutes before scheduled ferry departure time for ticketing and transfer procedures. For passengers without checked baggage, 30 minutes would be sufficient.

  4. Obtain ferry ticket and baggage tag.  Scan ferry ticket and check the baggage status at the ferry boarding entrance.

  5. Board the Automated People Mover to SkyPier.

  6. Board ferry to Macao (about 60 minutes).

  7. Go through immigration / custom formalities at Macao.

                          2.2.  Bus Services via Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge

The 55-km Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) is a bridge-tunnel system that connects Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao.

 

Passengers can get to the Terminal 1/Terminal 2 of the Hong Kong Airport and take Airport Buses“A” Routes or New Lantao Bus B4 to Hong Kong Port.

 

Please visit https://www.hzmb.gov.hk/en/transport/local-public.html for transportation to the Hong Kong Port.

 

Similar to Airport, take your valid passport and pass the security check, Immigration and Customs in the Passenger Clearance Building in the Hong Kong Port. Then, Passengers can buy tickets to Macao at the shuttle bus ticket counters and ticket vending machines in the restricted area of the Departure Hall on 1/F.

                          2.2.  Hong Kong International Airport → Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal (Shun Tak Centre, Hong Kong) → Macao

The following public transportation options from Hong Kong International Airport to Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal (Shun Tak Centre, Hong Kong) are available:

 

Option 1 - Airport Express (train)
First, take the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station in Central (Operating Hours: 5:54am - 00:48am daily) then take a taxi to Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal (Shun Tak Centre, Hong Kong).

 

Option 2 - Public bus route A11

Travellers should get off at the ‘Macao Ferry, Connaught Road, Central’ bus stop (Operating Hours: 6:10am - 00:30am).


Option 3 - Taxi
Taxis from Hong Kong International Airport take about 30 minutes to reach Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal (Shun Tak Centre, Hong Kong), subject to the prevailing traffic situation.  

BY SEA

  1. Hong Kong to Macao

                        1.1.  Hong Kong Island to Macao

The Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal in Shun Tak Centre is most frequently used by passengers. It is located above the Sheung Wan MTR station (Mass Transit Railway) next to a terminus for buses and minibuses from many parts of Hong Kong, including the bus from the airport.

Travel time is approximately 1 hour from Hong Kong (Hong Kong - Macao Ferry Terminal) to Macao (Macao Ferry Terminal or Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal). 

     

                          1.2.  Kowloon to Macao

The China (HK) Ferry Terminal is located in Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, and offers TriCat roundtrip sailings to and from Macao.

Passengers are advised to arrive in the terminal at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time in order to complete immigration formalities. Seats are allocated following check-in and immigration.

BY LAND

Land crossings from Mainland China are made through the Border Gate on Macao Peninsula and the Lotus Bridge in Cotai.  Gateways available from Mainland China to Macao by land:
